The Mantygre, also sometimes referred to as the Man Tiger, Montegre, Satyral, or Lympago, is a creature very similar in description to that of the Manticore. The Mantygre is often described as having the body of a tiger, oxen like horns atop its head and a face that resembles that of a withered old man when viewed from a distance. Some accounts also suggest that this creature has the feet of a clawed dragon, though this seems to be more of an exception than the norm. The Mantygre also appeared in early works of medieval heraldry and is believed by most researchers and scientists to be a strictly mythical creature.
